Integrates the Apple iPod into the BMW audio system and allows you to control and listen to your iPod music collection by using the vehicle's radio and steering wheel controls. Adapter also charges the iPod's internal battery when the vehicle is running. This device cannot be used in conjunction with the 6-disc CD or DVD Changer. Compatible with 4th generation and newer iPods, iPod mini, iPod nano, iPod Touch and iPhones. Not compatible with the 3rd generation iPod or earlier and the iPod shuffle. This device cannot be used in conjunction with the optional 6-disc CD Changer (SA672), factory installed USB/iPod Interface (SA 6FL) and/or 7 Series (E65, E66) optional Rear Seat Package (SA ZRP). The device is not compatible with 1 Series (E82, E88) and 3 Series (E90, E91, E92, E93) vehicles produced 09/09 and later without at least one of the following option codes: Premium Package SA ZPP, BMW Assist SA 639, Premium Sound SA 677, Navigation SA 609, Value Package SA ZVP or Sirius XM Radio SA 655.
